If you are bringing your own tent, please show up early to set up. The site will be open starting at 9am, and volunteers can show you the area where our heroes will pitch tents.

Directions

Check-in will begin as early as 10am. We’d like to be able to start the jump (as promised) at noon, so the earlier that you arrive and check in, the better.

Well we have 100 Heroes jumping at the 2nd annual Subzero Heroes Ice Jump at Freedom Lake in Lagrange, coming from all over – Ithica, Long Island, PA, NJ! It’s so great to see so many new faces involved this year!

We have also MORE THAN DOUBLED the income that we made last year AND COUNTING!

Remember, you need to raise a minimum of $100 in order to jump. Check in to your site and see how much you’ve raised.

When you register for the Subzero Heroes Ice Jump, you’re joining volunteers who are diving head first in the fight against this devastating disease.

SO YOU WANT TO BE A SUBZERO SIDEKICK?

The Subzero Sidekick (or SOS) plays an important…nay critical role during the Subzero Heroes Ice Jump.

Like any respectable super-hero, all Subzero Heroes must have a Subzero Sidekick. At very least, you, as the SOS, will be responsible for handing a towel and a dry change of clothes to your Hero after he or she comes out of the water.

MOST importantly you are going to help your Hero fundraise. Remember- the more money that you and your Hero raise, the closer to the front of the Jump line he or she will be. And the closer to the front of that line he or she is, the less time he or she will spend shivering waiting to jump IN the water!

How do you register to become a SOS?

AFTER YOU REGISTER, follow the link on your website to “UPDATE PERSONAL PAGE”. On that page click “SELECT AN IMAGE” and switch the image on your website from the Hero Logo to the SIDEKICK LOGO (below).

What to expect at the Jump

All Heroes & Sidekicks should arrive at 11am to sign in.

Remember to bring with you:

A dry change of clothes

Some warm towels

Costumes are encouraged – we advise that you wear something that is easy to get out of. Once you come up from the water you will run directly to a tent to change clothes.

Wear some old sneakers in the water. It’s not a good idea to try and do this barefoot!

There will be available two large “community” tents (these are 10 person tents that are tall enough to allow people to stand upright).

One tent for ladies, one for gents. You are welcome to bring your own tent with you if you’d like to change in a more private setting.
